David DiSera Named Vice President of Professional Services

RAMTeCH Software Solutions, Inc., a global leader in geospatial data management, managed services and consulting services, is pleased to announce that David DiSera has joined the RAMTeCH team as Vice President of Professional Services. DiSera has over 25 years’ experience in advancing the use of geospatial and information technologies across utilities and local/regional government organizations. He joins RAMTeCH as a part of its growth plan to focus on asset management solutions that are complementary to its traditional geospatial data management and professional services.

Throughout his career, DiSera has developed geospatial/information strategic technology plans and policies; defined users, data, applications, and technology requirements; developed enterprise architectures; improved work practices; and managed Geographic Information System (GIS) and IT program implementations for both public and private organizations. He specializes in GIS/IT practice management, service delivery, consulting and project delivery, which encompasses GIS, Work Management Systems, Customer Information Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning, Content Management Systems, Critical Infrastructure and Networking and Security. In 2010, DiSera was appointed to the National Geospatial Advisory Committee (NGAC) by the Secretary of the Interior. The committee provides geospatial technology advice to the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) and Secretary of the Interior in support of the President’s cabinet. He is a past President and past Research Committee Chair of the Geospatial Information and Technology Association (GITA). As Research Chair, DiSera was the Critical Infrastructure Protection Task Force Leader for the Geospatially Enabling Community Collaboration Program.

He was also a member the Federal Geographic Data Committee – Future Directions Working Committee on GIS Business Case. As a recipient of GITA’s Distinguished Service Award and a two time recipient of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association National Leadership Award, DiSera has contributed to the field of geospatial technology for nearly 30 years. In addition, he has held Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer positions assisting utilities and the financial sector. DiSera holds a B.S. in Computer Mapping from the University of Wisconsin and an M.B.A. in IT Management from the Orlando Business College.
