Menendez, Booker Announce Over $69M in Federal Sandy Relief

NEWARK, N.J. – U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker (both D-N.J.) today announced the awarding of $69,347,293.38 in Sandy relief funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to the Middlesex County Utilities Authority and Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission.

“These grants help bring our state one step further down the path to full recovery from Superstorm Sandy,” said Sen. Menendez. “Nearly three years after our state’s worst natural disaster, our neighborhoods still endure the scars of Sandy and I will continue to fight for critical resources to ensure homeowners and local communities can rebuild better and more resilient to withstand future storms.”

“Communities across New Jersey are still working to fully address the damage to critical infrastructure caused by Superstorm Sandy,” said Sen. Booker. “This federal grant will contribute to that ongoing effort as well as increase capacity for future infrastructure resiliency.
